RWA! Now with extra-patriotism!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Hi all — Its been a hectic couple of weeks: turned in my last project, and then shortly thereafter learned that I am going to be moving. Across country. In less than a month.

Oy.

I’ve been packing. Lots of packing. I had eleven boxes that were just books. I don’t know if I should think that is an extreme amount or a severe dearth, but if it’s the latter, I’ll be making up for it because……………

I’m at RWA in Washington DC!

Land of Books in the Land of the Free!

It kicked off today with the massive Literacy book signing, where I sat and met with wonderful people who stopped by, including Mandi from http://smexybooks.blogspot.com and Katiebabs from her blog at http://kbgbabbles.blogspot.com

It was wonderful meeting everyone at the signing, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow… when the fun (and conference) really begins.

Until then, happy reading!

Due Day!

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Happy July everyone! I’ve been out of circulation for a little while, and the reason is summed up in one little compound word: deadline. I turned in, not 24 hours ago, my latest project! And while I look forward to getting feedback and notes from my trusted editor and agent, I also am DYING to go to the movies, and oh, I don’t know, read a book? My brain would benefit from a little time off.

But it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of time to benefit my brain, because in two short little weeks, is the RWA National conference in D.C.! I’m going to be at the Literacy Signing on Wednesday, July 15th, so if you’re there, stop on by, I would *love* to see you. But for right now, I think I might go by a huuuuuge tub of popcorn and hang out in a movie theater for a day or two.

Happy reading, everybody!
