One thing to think about with kindle or sony or whatever ereader you use is that it isn't the only way you have to read. Since I've bought my ereader I haven't stopped reading physical books. I still use my library and (sadly for my wallet) I still buy books from my bookstore. I'm just amazingly impatient (which I think you've already touched on with sites like Hulu). So I just juggle between the different sources for books (no waiting lines at the library for new books, no gas wasted going to the book store, and the most funny thing is no embarrassing covers, lol).
